The Teflon Insulated Silver Wire (7.5 m) can be used for recording potentials in isolated tissue including the isolated heart or other electrophysiological applications. The silver wire has a 99.99% purity and a nominal American Wire Gauge (AWG) of 32 for the bare silver wire and 30 including the insulation. The "bare diameter" is 200 µm and the "coated diameter" is 280 µm.
Typical Tolerances:
Therefore total insulated diameter tolerances = bare wire tolerance + 2x insulation thickness tolerance
